Amirhossein Eshghi, 18, and Aryan Eshghi, 14, two brothers who were both students and were killed in the January protests in Tehran. One of their relatives told Radio Farda that in front of Police Station 153 [Valiasr neighborhood, Tehran], a bullet first hit Amirhossein in the back. When he fell to the ground, they didn't allow anyone to approach him and fired two more bullets into his heart and chest. Abolfazl Norouzi, 15 years old, died on January 8th in Mashhad after being hit by a war bullet. According to those close to him, he was targeted by gunfire near the Seyedi Basij base (West Saba). Father and son killed unaware of each other's fate. Mani Shafiee was an accounting student and his father, Mehdi Shafiee, worked on a construction project. One of their relatives told Radio Farda that on January 9th, Mehdi Shafiee left his home in Qaimiyeh neighborhood of Eslamshahr to participate in protests and lost his life when a war bullet hit his heart; while he didn't know that his son, Mani, had also been targeted by gunfire. According to this source, Mani was at his grandmother's house. After hearing gunshots, he went outside to find his father, but at the end of the alley he was hit by a war bullet in the kidney area and died in his grandmother's arms. The bodies of Mehdi and Mani Shafiee were buried on January 11th in Chenar village, a suburb of Asadabad in Hamedan. Another relative told Radio Farda that the bodies of these two were handed over in Kahrizak. "Somayeh Yousefi," 44 years old, was killed on Thursday, January 18, 2024, during protests in the "Tehranpars" neighborhood of Tehran by gunfire from Islamic Republic suppression forces. According to one of Somayeh Yousefi's relatives, a sniper positioned on the roof of one of the high-rise buildings in the area targeted her in the head. An informed source tells IranWire: "Somayeh was transferred by her brother to Imam Hossein Hospital. They moved her body from there to Kahrizak. Even though family members were aware of all stages of the body transfer, they still searched for her body in Kahrizak for two days before finding it." Somayeh Yousefi had professionally started taekwondo from age 20 and held a black belt. She was a graduate in accounting and had years of experience working as chief accountant for an import-export company. Iran International: Security forces raided the village of Chenar in Asadabad, Hamedan on the morning of February 17th, arresting hundreds of residents with beatings and violence, parading them around the village in vehicles with cage bars before taking them to the police station.
