The US Treasury Secretary warned the Islamic Republic that it will face gasoline shortages if the naval blockade of its ports continues. Scott Bessent wrote on social media platform X on Monday that "the remaining leaders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are trapped like drowning rats in a sewer pipe" because "Iran's worn-out oil industry has begun to reduce production due to the naval blockade [imposed by] the United States."
