On Thursday, 19 Shahrivar, the IRGC Navy released images that it said showed a U.S. unmanned vessel being targeted at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC said the vessel had hull number 5838 and was a “Sea Drone.” Ali Azmayi, commander of the IRGC Navy, said the U.S. military’s “surveillance” unmanned vessel had been hit in the Strait of Hormuz. Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said in an interview with Bloomberg on Thursday, 19 Shahrivar, that based on satellite imagery, the agency had observed construction activity at the highly fortified “Pickaxe Mountain” site, south of Iran’s main enrichment complex. Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, the price of benchmark Brent crude topped $102 on Thursday, up about 1% from the previous day and around 8% from the start of the month.
