As tensions continue to escalate between the United States and the Islamic Republic, several airlines have temporarily suspended flights to major Middle Eastern hubs and are avoiding parts of the region's airspace that could become a "conflict zone." Fatimeh Ardeshir Larijani, daughter of Ali Larijani, has been expelled from university. Iran Wire reports: Nasser Mokaram, a neurosurgeon at Emory University in Atlanta, has published an image of a letter terminating cooperation with Fatimeh Ardeshir Larijani. Her profile page has been removed from the university's website. The letter, signed by the Dean of Emory University's School of Medicine, states: "I am writing this letter to inform you that the physician who is the daughter of a senior Iranian government official is no longer an Emory employee." Fatimeh Ardeshir Larijani was working at Emory University's Cancer Research Institute in Atlanta and according to published reports, she introduced herself as Fatimeh Ardeshir in her workplace. Previously, dozens of Iranian-American citizens had protested outside Emory University in Atlanta against the employment of Ali Larijani's daughter at this university. Ali Larijani is the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic.
