Ali Zarei Dooz Darreh Si, a political prisoner and one of those injured during the nationwide protests of 1401, is being held at Qezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. Branch 23 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court has sentenced him to death on charges of “corruption on earth.” According to information received by HRANA, Mr. Zarei Dooz Darreh Si was sentenced to death on charges of “corruption on earth through extensive political activity, fabricating reports of damage, producing false news, propaganda against the system, disrupting security, and illegally entering and leaving the country.” The sentence was delivered to him on 1 Shahrivar 1405. Mr. Zarei Dooz Darreh Si, who had previously been living in Germany, was arrested by agents of the Intelligence Department after entering Iran on 8 Ordibehesht 1405. His case was investigated during the preliminary inquiry stage by Branch 3 of the Tehran District 33 Prosecutor’s Office, known as the Security Prosecutor’s Office. He was eventually transferred to Qezel Hesar Prison in Karaj on 9 Tir of the same year. He is currently held in Unit 3, Ward 37 of the prison. Ali Zarei Dooz Darreh Si, approximately 27 years old and a resident of Tehran, was injured in one eye by a shotgun pellet during the nationwide protests of 1401.
