The Parliamentary Research Center has warned in its latest report on the country's electricity grid that despite a relative increase in generation capacity, electricity imbalance will continue in the summer of 2026, with the possibility of blackouts, especially during nighttime hours. Based on estimates from the Energy, Industry and Mining Studies Office of this center, in a realistic scenario, the electricity shortage at peak summer consumption will reach approximately 13,600 megawatts. In this assessment, the simultaneous supply capacity of the grid is predicted to be around 68,400 megawatts while demand is expected to exceed 81,000 megawatts. @ VahidHeadline Received message: Today the villages of Khoshkbijar had their electricity cut off from 4:45 PM for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
