Update: Messages are coming in saying power has been restored in some areas.
Meanwhile, Fars News Agency: Power outage in several parts of Tehran; cause identified
Several parts of Tehran have been without power for the past few hours. Fars’s follow-up with Tavanir confirmed that a technical fault at one of the 230-kilovolt substations in eastern Tehran caused the outage. Operations and technical crews are now at the substation working to resolve the issue.
Update: While many people are still messaging to say their power hasn’t come back, some whose power had been restored are reporting that it’s gone out again. Maybe it’s because of the repairs.
Update, Sunday, 00:40: Tasnim News Agency: Power restored in eastern Tehran
